SAPA – DIEN BIEN MOTORBIKE TOUR

– At 8:00 AM, a vehicle and guide will collect you from your hotel. This journey will lead you to explore the villages of various ethnic minorities, including the Thai, Kho Mu, and H’Mong, while uncovering the migration history of the H’Mong people as they settled in the northwest.
The narrow, winding roads atop the mountains will guide the group to the Xa Phang ethnic village, one of the smallest ethnic groups in Vietnam, with a population of approximately 2,000 individuals, who are the sole permanent residents. Here, you will gain insights into the cultural traits of the Xa Phang community.

As the rooster heralds the dawn, let’s step outside to witness the enchanting valley filled with floating white clouds, resembling a scene from a fairy tale! Today is a remarkable day; we will embark on an adventure through the untouched landscapes of Dien Bien, where the high-altitude roads lead us into the rocky plateau of Tua Chua, revealing the Da Giang River as it unfolds before us. Enter the magical realm of Northwest Vietnam, adorned with breathtaking mountain and forest vistas, rugged rocks, and ancient tea trees that tower high, large enough for several people to embrace. No words can truly capture the celestial beauty that greets us. We’ll delve into the rich cultures and traditions of various ethnic groups, including the Xa Phang, H’Mong, and Dao.

After a hearty breakfast with the family, we’ll continue our journey to explore the villages of ethnic minorities in Tua Chua, where the rocky landscapes mirror those of Dong Van in Ha Giang. We’ll visit the H’Mong village, home to ancient tea trees that are 400-500 years old, towering high enough to embrace. After lunch with the family, we’ll descend the mountain to the Da River. The stunning and poetic scenery of the river is beyond what any words can convey. We’ll make a stop at the Dao Quan Chet villages to immerse ourselves in their way of life. In the afternoon, upon reaching the village, we’ll hop on a boat to explore and swim in the Da River for about an hour. As evening falls, we’ll spend the night in a charming little hamlet by the river. Although there’s no electricity here, it hardly matters. The natural beauty bestowed upon this place is enough to captivate us! We’ll have hot water for bathing, cozy blankets, soft mattresses, and a delightful evening filled with specialties from the Da River.

In the morning, we’ll hop on a boat for a scenic one-hour ride across the Da River, heading into Lai Chau province. The journey takes us along picturesque roads that wind through charming ethnic minority villages, leading us to Lai Chau. After enjoying lunch in Lai Chau town, we’ll make our way to Si Thau Chai village, a stunning Red Dao ethnic community. Take some time to wander around the village and the surrounding tea hills. If you’re interested, we can also visit a nearby waterfall.

Following breakfast, we’ll set off for Sapa via the national road, tackling the impressive Tram Ton Pass, one of Vietnam’s famous four great passes. We’ll arrive in Sapa around noon, marking the end of our trip.
